The Tools of Providence

If you've ever done a DIY project, you know the importance of the right tools. Sometimes, purchasing the correct equipment and watching enough YouTube videos is sufficient to complete any project, even for the most unartistic among us.

When it comes to the complicated places in our lives, we need more than do-it-yourself tips or YouTube videos.

We need a Master Craftsman who owns the right tools, shaping and repairing with a skillful hand.

Search human history, and you will find a wide assortment of tools used by the hand of our capable God.

Insomnia (Esther 6:1). A foolish choice (2 Chronicles 10:15). A sister's suggestion (Exodus 2:7).

Our Sovereign Ruler takes seemingly insignificant details and crafts them together to accomplish His purposes.

He works where we would only falter, with tools we would toss aside.

We all have things in our lives that need mended, created, or made new.

All of us are tempted to turn prayer requests into DIY projects.

But our God owns more tools than we can imagine. His wise, compassionate eye sees needs. His workshop is ready.

When He seems too late, too busy, or too big to care about what matters to you, wait.

One day, His skillful hand will work in a timing so precise, it might almost be missed.

Watch Him use a tool you never thought of to accomplish a work you didn't ask for.

Trust the Master Craftsman.

"LORD, it is nothing for You to help, 

whether with many or with those who have no power." (2 Chronicles 14:11)
